MCLEAN, Virginia, June 2, 2021 - YottaStor, an innovator in Edge, Enterprise, and Cloud Data solutions has partnered with Snowflake, the Data Cloud company, to enable customers to bring large amounts of data from the Edge into Snowflake’s Data Cloud. YottaStor’s autonomous data platform enables customers to collect any data type while performing in-line real-time analytics at any location within the enterprise or at the edge. Snowflake’s Data Cloud enables organizations to seamlessly access, explore, securely share, and unlock insights from an entire network of data sources to get more value out of their data. According to Gartner, “by 2022, as a result of digital business projects, 75% of enterprise-generated data will be created and processed outside the traditional, centralized data center or cloud — an increase from the less than 10% generated today.” Until now, the sheer volume of that data and the hundreds of new and obscure data types could overwhelm existing architectures and result in delayed analysis. There needed to be a simple way to annex that data at the Edge and bring it into the cloud, often without moving that data.

The solution brings three innovations to market:

1.    Take full advantage of AWS to support sensor data. YottaDrive Cloud engine resides on the AWS infrastructure and as needed, at remote sites. This engine offers a powerful ingest, normalization, transformation, naming, metatagging, formatting, and visualization, with an extremely powerful search and analysis capability for sensor data.  It also links fully into the many levels of AWS elastic storage and compute for cost effectiveness.

2.    Share data immediately across the web, regardless of the location of the analysts or data. YottaStor’s naming and object technology enables multi-site data federation. This federation allows data to be shared in real time across many locations throughout the cloud in secure networks without overloading communication network links or storage.

3.    Preserve the value of perishable data with the inclusion of our integrated collaboration and analytical capability. Provides an open platform enabling a wide range of analytical tools to support analysis. Visualization, menu driven search, clustering, data-joining, and GUI tools are all incorporated. In addition, this service allows customers to take advantage of all the cloud and do analysis much easier and faster.
